Summer has well and truly arrived here in Cornwall, which means schools out, and long lazy lunches are in!

Here at The Tolcarne our menu follows the seasons, so right now you will find plenty of light, flavoursome dishes (starring Cornish seafood of course!) – perfect for sultry summer afternoons.

In fact we are firm believers that the best way to enjoy the catch of the day is to choose a selection of starters, salads and sharing plates and head to our sunny deck – with a glass of something cold in hand – and share every dish (until you find your favourite that is!)

And, because we know that in summer things tend to happen at their own pace, we are now serving food throughout the afternoon (see right for our new opening times). The afternoon selection will change every day, but will look something like this:

Fish and Chips

Mussels

Hot Smoked Sea Trout Salad

Mackerel Nicoise (click here for recipe)

We will also be serving Cornish Cream Teas all afternoon.

Opening Hours and Service Times:

We are open 7 days a week: 11.30-late, serving real ales, local ciders, refreshments, coffee and homemade cakes.

Food is served 7 days a week.

Monday – Saturday

Lunch is served between 12.00 and 14.15.

Between 2.15 – 5.00 we serve a limited menu of light bites (salads, soups, sandwiches), as well as our popular Fish and Chips.

Dinner is served from 6.30 – 9.30.

Sunday

Lunch is served 12.00-15.00 (Live Jazz 13.00-15.00)

Dinner is served from 6.30 – 9.30.

The Tolcarne Inn welcomes children, and can offer children’s portions of most dishes, or simpler versions.
